Windows 10 gamers will also be able to use the Xbox’s app’s GameDVR feature in order to capture in-game footage.
While not being able to access current worlds will put some folks off, Minecraft gamers on Windows 10 will be able to use the Xbox controller and touch-based input devices. The new beta is not compatible with previous versions, so those taking it for a spin will need to start from scratch. In order to grab the game, users can head to the Mojang website, sign into their account and hit the “Redeem” button. It’s $10 (around £6.40) for new users to buy.
The beta will be free to download for anyone who has purchased the game for their computer (PC or Mac).
